Alcohol Ink Art Event Builds Community

Staff Writer

The SCCC Gallery recently hosted a show, Alcohol Ink Art, created by Sussex County residents who participated in community-focused fall workshops offered by the Center for Lifelong Learning at SCCC and taught by Prof. Sherry Fitzgerald, of the Visual & Performing Arts Department.

Workshops offered through the Center are designed to support the idea of living a creative art-filled life and are led by SCCC Faculty members Sherry Fitzgerald and Michael Hughes. The show, which featured an afternoon tea, was attended by artists from the Center, faculty, staff, students, and community members. Attendees chatted with the artists and enjoyed delicious baked goods from the SCCC Culinary Institute.
