The campus was filled with laughter, excitement, and community spirit as this year’s Easter Egg Hunt proved to be a tremendous success. Families from the community joined students, faculty, and local organizations for a day full of fun, creativity, and connection.
Our Education students played a key role in making the event so special, volunteering their time to lead a variety of engaging art activities for children of all ages. From crafts to games like “Pin the Tail on the Bunny,” there was no shortage of opportunities for kids to create, play, and celebrate. Music and dancing added to the festive atmosphere, keeping energy levels high throughout the day.

The highlight for many was the much-anticipated egg hunt, where children eagerly searched for colorful eggs scattered across the grounds. A special appearance by the Easter Bunny brought smiles and excitement, quickly becoming a favorite moment for many of our youngest guests.
We were also proud to partner with several community organizations, including Project Self-Sufficiency, Norwescap, the YMCA, and the Newton Police Department. One of the standout features of the day was an interactive drone demonstration, which captivated the children and offered a unique, hands-on experience they won’t soon forget.
Adding to the entertainment, a surprise visit from the members of the softball team joined in the fun with a lively dance performance, featuring choreography, (the bunny hop) by Allison Ognibene from the Theater Department. Their enthusiasm and spirit helped bring the celebration to life.
Overall, the event was a wonderful example of what can happen when a community comes together. It was truly a great time for all involved, and we look forward to making even more memories next year!
